Retail Security – What is right for you?

Retail Security BreachLet’s face it – thieves KNOW when you’re not there, because the “lights are off & no body is home” (so to speak)…

Here’s what many people (in a retail situation) are familiar with:

Nearing closing time, you begin removing cash from the till, turning off the lights (except the front of the store), and after a few other errands, you lock up.

Unless you’ve got an alarm, when you add that “activate alarm” step before locking up.

Many small businesses actually want an alarm, but think that they won’t actually need it.

Until they turn up one day and their shop has been “done over”.

It’s quite simply a case of “WHEN” as opposed to “IF” your shop is going to be burgled.

Sad, but true.

You see – criminals often have the easiest possible ways of telling you’re protected or not…

…Because you literally invite them in to take a look around, just by being OPEN.

And there’s nothing you can do about it.

Unless of course, your premises has security signs, security stickers, inside movement detectors and outside siren/light set ups.

That’s how you add to the deterrent factor. Advertise the fact you’ve got security.

But some security advertising is better than others.

CCTV Cameras are a much bigger deterrent because by the time the thieves have seen the camera, they know their face has been registered in that camera and recorded.

Whether you realize this or not, the chances of thieves committing an offense for the first time in your shop is almost zero. They know exactly what Police can and can’t do when an alarm is activated. They know how much time they have before anyone gets there.

That’s why (often) a surveillance camera or CCTV camera set up is the best way to go.

Retail security is like insurance.

You’re better off having it and not needing it, than needing it & not having it!

We are specialists at this type of thing & have been doing it since last century.
